Hi Melanie! I just finished Descendant of Darkness and I can't tell you how much I love it! I don't know how I am going to be able to wait for Destined for Divinity! Can you give me an idea when you plan on having it done? The suspense is going to drive me crazy! Great job! My favorite books to date and I have read a LOT of books!!

Hi Jean,

Thank you so much - I'm really gald you liked the last book! I'm afraid it is too soon for me to estimate a release for Destined for Divinity.

I will say that I had a lot of personal and professional turmoil going on while writing the last book, and so it took much longer than it should have. I can only hope that will not be the case now!

My family is moving, which may be a small setback in the writing schedule, but I think it still shouldn't take more than a year to write, and hopefully it will be done a lot sooner than that!

All I can do is keep writing and keep everyone posted. I truly appreciate the patience of my readers. I am still a one-woman show, handling everything myself, so it does take longer for me to produce a book than it does for authors who have a team of people to help edit, format, etc. I'm blessed to have some readers who offer to help beta-read and catch some typos, but other than that, it's all on me. I'm writing as fast as I can!

Thank you for reading :)

Thank you all so much. I know it is frustrating to have to wait for the next book.

Moving is such an exhausting process...and we haven't even started yet :-/

Right now we are finishing last minute repairs, decluttering and cleaning (This used to be my mom's house - I've lived here my whole life, so there's plenty of clutter!). We're in the process of scheduling our first open house and putting the for-sale signs in the ground. With 2 boys and a large dog, keeping the place show-ready will not be easy (and cleaning was never my strong suit). However, I am motivated!

We have a found the perfect log home upstate in a great neighborhood & school district, with a little private stretch of woods out back. It has always been our dream to live up in the mountains, so I really have to focus on doing whatever it takes to get our house sold, and make the dream come true! Once we move, I can sit out back by the pond and write all day :-)

Cross your fingers my house sells quickly and we can take our lives off 'hold', expedite everything and get back to normal...and writing! Thanks for the support!

will there be a 3 in 1 book of the second trilogy when you are done with this next volume?

Hi Moonchaser,

The answer to your question is Yes...and No.

When Destined for Divinity is done, I will definitely be putting out the Second Trilogy as a bundle in ebook. I am not sure if I will be doing it in paperback, only because each book in the Second Trilogy is much longer than those of the First Trilogy

The 1st Trilogy books were about 130,000 words each - already the size of 2 average novels put together - making the combined paperback about 400,000 words. The 2nd Trilogy books are about 220,000 each, which would make the bundled 2nd Trilogy a whopping 660,000 words! The book would be about 1400 pages...and that is impossible to print in a paperback binding. The glue wouldn't hold, LOL. I think the limit for my printer is 800 pages.

I would love to sell the individual books in a boxed set, but my printer doesn't offer that. Maybe I will find a way to do it privately here through my website... I'll definitely let everyone know if that becomes an option!

Melanie - I can't magine how much work it is for you to do all this by yourself! If you ever need anyone to help edit, I'd be willing to help. We all have different gifts - and mine is being able to find typos and correct sentence structure etc.... Just holler if you are in need!

Jean,

Thanks for the offer...I may just take you up on that! If I have room on the beta reader team, I'll be in touch when the time comes :-)
Thanks!

After waiting for 4 years I know I should had read this book slowly, take my sweet time with every line but I just could not help myself and finished in less than two days. My first thought is, Melany thank you very much for dedicating time writing and publishing this literary treat! I really enjoyed the emotional rollercoaster. I fell even more in love with Cain, I ADORE him, he has a special place in my heart, I was really exited about learning new things about him, as usual he was incredibly amazing swoon worthy, I could not get enough! Ally is the most powerful, cool and original vampiress I have ever read. I just cannot wait to know more about Felicity, and wonder if the next triology is going to be more about her... I really wish the next book is published real soon and I truly hope it includes plenty of chapters of Cain and Felicity... Will Felicity ever get to read all the letters written to her by Cain? I hope she will... I always hope that she will somehow end up with Cain.

Hi Sara!
I am sooo glad that you've enjoyed the book! (My first non-beta reader feedback - yay!) I hope you will leave a review on Amazon & goodreads for me :-)

I know this was a terribly long wait and I truly appreciate your patience. In light of the time and effort it takes to tell the story in such a long novel format, I've made a decision that I hope will make my readers happy...

From this point forward, I will be releasing the rest of the books in parts, as Novellas: 3-5 bite-size books that will add up to make the complete Novel when they are all finished. That way, readers can read each 'episode' with less wait, rather than be made to wait for the entire thing at once.

I'm going to reformat all of the previous books as well, so new readers have the choice to read Fatal Infatuation part 1, 2 & 3, or just buy the whole thing as a novel. Don't worry - I will make it very clear that this is the same story in a new version - I don't want readers to be confused and buy the same book again in a new way if they didn't mean to.

While I love to read big books myself, I know that some people are a bit intimidated by a huge book (Destined for Divinity is 250,000 words - which is almost unheard of in this industry - it's the length of 3 or 4 average length novels in one. That is partially why it took so long to write.

There is certainly more story to tell, and I am excited to get all the reformatting out of the way so I can continue with the next book. Thanks so much for reading!

Sara - I realized that I had not yet opened a forum for readers to discuss the new book. I've created a new forum for it now. :)
