Hi Melanie! I just finished Descendant of Darkness and I can't tell you how much I love it! I don't know how I am going to be able to wait for Destined for Divinity! Can you give me an idea when you plan on having it done? The suspense is going to drive me crazy! Great job! My favorite books to date and I have read a LOT of books!!

Hi Jean,

Thank you so much - I'm really gald you liked the last book! I'm afraid it is too soon for me to estimate a release for Destined for Divinity.

I will say that I had a lot of personal and professional turmoil going on while writing the last book, and so it took much longer than it should have. I can only hope that will not be the case now!

My family is moving, which may be a small setback in the writing schedule, but I think it still shouldn't take more than a year to write, and hopefully it will be done a lot sooner than that!

All I can do is keep writing and keep everyone posted. I truly appreciate the patience of my readers. I am still a one-woman show, handling everything myself, so it does take longer for me to produce a book than it does for authors who have a team of people to help edit, format, etc. I'm blessed to have some readers who offer to help beta-read and catch some typos, but other than that, it's all on me. I'm writing as fast as I can!

Thank you for reading :)

Thank you all so much. I know it is frustrating to have to wait for the next book.

Moving is such an exhausting process...and we haven't even started yet :-/

Right now we are finishing last minute repairs, decluttering and cleaning (This used to be my mom's house - I've lived here my whole life, so there's plenty of clutter!). We're in the process of scheduling our first open house and putting the for-sale signs in the ground. With 2 boys and a large dog, keeping the place show-ready will not be easy (and cleaning was never my strong suit). However, I am motivated!

We have a found the perfect log home upstate in a great neighborhood & school district, with a little private stretch of woods out back. It has always been our dream to live up in the mountains, so I really have to focus on doing whatever it takes to get our house sold, and make the dream come true! Once we move, I can sit out back by the pond and write all day :-)

Cross your fingers my house sells quickly and we can take our lives off 'hold', expedite everything and get back to normal...and writing! Thanks for the support!

will there be a 3 in 1 book of the second trilogy when you are done with this next volume?

Hi Moonchaser,

The answer to your question is Yes...and No.

When Destined for Divinity is done, I will definitely be putting out the Second Trilogy as a bundle in ebook. I am not sure if I will be doing it in paperback, only because each book in the Second Trilogy is much longer than those of the First Trilogy

The 1st Trilogy books were about 130,000 words each - already the size of 2 average novels put together - making the combined paperback about 400,000 words. The 2nd Trilogy books are about 220,000 each, which would make the bundled 2nd Trilogy a whopping 660,000 words! The book would be about 1400 pages...and that is impossible to print in a paperback binding. The glue wouldn't hold, LOL. I think the limit for my printer is 800 pages.

I would love to sell the individual books in a boxed set, but my printer doesn't offer that. Maybe I will find a way to do it privately here through my website... I'll definitely let everyone know if that becomes an option!

Melanie - I can't magine how much work it is for you to do all this by yourself! If you ever need anyone to help edit, I'd be willing to help. We all have different gifts - and mine is being able to find typos and correct sentence structure etc.... Just holler if you are in need!

After waiting for 4 years I know I should had read this book slowly, take my sweet time with every line but I just could not help myself and finished in less than two days. My first thought is, Melany thank you very much for dedicating time writing and publishing this literary treat! I really enjoyed the emotional rollercoaster. I fell even more in love with Cain, I ADORE him, he has a special place in my heart, I was really exited about learning new things about him, as usual he was incredibly amazing swoon worthy, I could not get enough! Ally is the most powerful, cool and original vampiress I have ever read. I just cannot wait to know more about Felicity, and wonder if the next triology is going to be more about her... I really wish the next book is published real soon and I truly hope it includes plenty of chapters of Cain and Felicity... Will Felicity ever get to read all the letters written to her by Cain? I hope she will... I always hope that she will somehow end up with Cain.

Hi Sara!
I am sooo glad that you've enjoyed the book! (My first non-beta reader feedback - yay!) I hope you will leave a review on Amazon & goodreads for me :-)

I know this was a terribly long wait and I truly appreciate your patience. In light of the time and effort it takes to tell the story in such a long novel format, I've made a decision that I hope will make my readers happy...

From this point forward, I will be releasing the rest of the books in parts, as Novellas: 3-5 bite-size books that will add up to make the complete Novel when they are all finished. That way, readers can read each 'episode' with less wait, rather than be made to wait for the entire thing at once.

I'm going to reformat all of the previous books as well, so new readers have the choice to read Fatal Infatuation part 1, 2 & 3, or just buy the whole thing as a novel. Don't worry - I will make it very clear that this is the same story in a new version - I don't want readers to be confused and buy the same book again in a new way if they didn't mean to.

While I love to read big books myself, I know that some people are a bit intimidated by a huge book (Destined for Divinity is 250,000 words - which is almost unheard of in this industry - it's the length of 3 or 4 average length novels in one. That is partially why it took so long to write.

There is certainly more story to tell, and I am excited to get all the reformatting out of the way so I can continue with the next book. Thanks so much for reading!

Sara - I realized that I had not yet opened a forum for readers to discuss the new book. I've created a new forum for it now. :)

Reader Reviews

From: FATAL INFATUATION

Love the Vampires!

I really enjoyed Fatal Infatuation and can't wait to continue with the next volume. I found the characters to have some flesh to them and liked the interaction between them. The dialogue is smart and at times I feel like I can hear the characters talking. I have to admit that Cain is my favorite. I love that he is a better vampire than he was a man, and can't wait to delve deeper into his character. I highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys a good vampire story.

From: LOST REFLECTIONS

I Love This Series!!!

Don't be expecting a Twilight clone. These characters are more grown-up and the vampires can truly be scary. This series is getting even better as it goes along. Lost Reflections continues the love story between Felicity and Cain and their relationships with Felicity's human friends (I love Allie and Ben!). Even better - we get Cain's back story! This reads almost like a book within a book, and Cain's story is just so fascinating. I was spellbound!

This book is well-written, and the characters are wonderful. I really find myself missing them when I move on to another book. I highly recommend it.

From: EVOLVING ECSTASY

A Fabulous Ending to an Amazing Trilogy!

As Felicity and Cain's relationship continues to grow they face difficult choices that will change their lives forever. Despite her love for Cain, can Felicity give up her future human life of marriage, children, and a career...say goodbye to her family to live alongside Cain in an undead existence for eternity? She loves him with everything she is, but is it enough? Cain is having his own internal moral battle regarding changing Felicity over. He wants nothing more than her by his side forever, but must debate the implications of taking her human life.

Of course there is more excitement with the rest of the gang: Ben, Sindy, Allie, and the return of Mattie as we get ready for the first book of the second trilogy Born to Blood. Evolving Ecstasy is an excellent read with an unbelievable ending that left me in tears!

The First Trilogy ~ 3-in-1 Edition

What an Amazing Trilogy!

I am a huge paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi book fan and one of my favorite things is to immerse myself in a book, truly enjoy the story and anxiously anticipate what happens next. When I can't put a book down until the wee hours of the morning or can't wait to read it again, then I know I've found an amazingly good book. This series allows you to delve into each character's life and get to know them intimately throughout each book. The storyline always peaked my interest and not once made me ask what just happened or why am I reading this book. I can't wait to read the second trilogy! I am anxiously awaiting the new turn of events for Felicity, Ben, Allie, and Cain.

Fantastic...

These characters are fascinating, their interaction flows easily. Melanie did a great job describing their experiences and feelings. Reading about their conflicts, their lost love, their tragedy and their quest for happiness made me feel pity, love and sadness, I call it the Trifecta effect. When an author can awake those feelings in a reader then the job has been done, the desired effect has been accomplished. Melanie's writing just flows, her stories are easy to read, and her style is fantastic. I look forward to reading Descendant of Darkness, the 2nd book of the 2nd Trilogy.

Amazing Journey

This series, Almost Human, is truly a journey for your heart and your soul. The characters are so real, you feel like you know each one personally. Melanie Nowak is a amazing author. I cannot wait to continue the journey with All of them, and watch how their lives continue to evolve. Thank You Melanie for bringing us with them. Cannot wait for the next book.

From: DESTINED FOR DIVINITY

I Love This Series So Much!

I love this series so much and was so happy to see the release of this book. I read a lot, and surprisingly, I still remembered this series and the characters in detail even after years between releases. If you can distinctly remember characters in a book after that long and reading hundreds of books in between, I would say that is the sign of a great book and a great author!

Even so, I did re-read all of the books in the series which made the experience of reading this one so much better for me. The author does a good job of recapping for those that do not do that, but I found it was very helpful for some of the little things.

I would highly recommend this series to anyone who loves the paranormal romance genre! I also want to say I no longer write many reviews just because I never feel like I can take the time to write something that conveys all my thoughts about a book in a short review. Thank you so much for what you do Melanie Nowak...and keep on writing! I can't wait to see what is in store next for these characters!

PS: Even though this is a long book, which I love, I still breezed through it in 2 days. To be fair, it was the weekend  :)

A Note About Reviews

I am an Independently Published Author. I don't have the financial backing to launch a big promotional advertising campaign. People hear about my books from readers!

If you enjoyed the books - please let others know! When bookstores come across my little series in a catalog of thousands, reviews help them to decide if the books should be purchased and stocked on their store shelves.

I greatly appreciate those who take the time to write a sincere review. If you enjoyed the books, a review posted on Amazon would be very helpful - thanks!!!
